Mission and Objective
At MAN, NFP, our mission is to cultivate morally resilient men in underserved communities and actively reduce recidivism rates. We recognize that the cycle of gun violence, crime, and recidivism is fueled by complex, systemic issues, and we are dedicated to breaking this cycle by fostering mental, emotional, and spiritual growth and empowering character development.
Through MAN’s Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Curriculum, we equip men with the essential tools, resources, and support networks they need to understand their circumstances, make empowered choices, and create positive change. Our core belief is that when a man is fully aware of his potential and supported by a community of like-minded individuals, he can overcome any obstacle and inspire those around him to rise as well.
Our objective is to create lasting transformation from within, using research-backed insights and real-world observations. By implementing an organic, structured curriculum, we guide participants through each phase, session, and activity with a focus on reflection and personal growth. Our "Man-spects" serve as pillars of support and accountability, both in the classroom and in life.
Our vision is to build a generation of men with integrity and values that empower them to mature, evolve, and make impactful contributions in their homes and communities. A key focus of our mission is to decrease recidivism, implement robust re-entry strategies, and provide community-based violence reduction solutions, ultimately fostering safer, healthier neighborhoods for all.
